1980 

 James Cronin launches the first ever Ceroc night in London. The opening night attracts 30 people and within 6 months it's attracting 700 people a month.

 A team of Cerocers dance on the BBC 1 program 'Nationwide'  

1983

Ceroc moves to Pineapple Dance Studios where its taught four time a week.  

1984

The first Ceroc Charity Ball attracts 1700 dancers.

 1986

Sylvia Coleman opens a weekly Ceroc night in a Central London nightclub.

1987

James and Sylvia form a business partnership. 

Dance classes are combined with freestyle sessions to create the 'Ceroc formula'.  

1990

The first National Event takes place. This is in the form of a Marathon, run for charity.

1991

Ceroc Enterprises Limited is founded to manage and coordinate the growth of Ceroc.

The first Teacher Training Course takes place. 

The first Ceroc Franchise opens in Norwich.

1992

The CTA (Ceroc Teachers Association) is created to ensure continuity in the standard of teaching.  

The first ever Cerocshop is launched.

1994

Taxi Dancers are introduced.

1995

There is the first National Convention for teachers.  

1996

A half-hour TV documentary about Ceroc is screened on Channel 4.

The first Dance & Ski holiday takes place. 

1997

The first overseas agreement is signed to launch Ceroc in Chicago.  

1998

The number of Ceroc venues doubles in one year.  

1999

 The first UK Modern Jive Championships take place in May at The Empire, Leicester Square in London.

2001

The Dance and Ski Holiday sells out with 240 people.

2002

Ceroc attendance reaches 350,000 for the first time.

2003

Ceroc is operating in more than 100 venue sin the UK for the first time.

2004

Ceroc opens in Dubai.

Ceroc attendance reaches 500,000.

Estelle Morris invites Mike Ellard to speak to her and her department about the virtues of dance and how it can be developed further in the UK.

2005

Ceroc in Australia exceeds 25,000 members.

Ceroc opens in France.
