Now in it's Fourth year, the Ceroc Championships are the premier modern jive dance competition. They are usually the Sunday of the first bank holiday in May. Every year over a thousand people turn out to watch scores of competitors battle it out to become champions. There are a various standards, including team cabarets and a 'Lucky dip' competition. We are very proud to have had a number of our dancers win in previous years. If you're interested in competing and want some extra coaching, please email us and Mike will be happy to spend an hour with you. Competition dancing is very different to social dancing and therefore requires a different set of skills and techniques. Even if you don't yet dance or don't wish to compete, why not simply come along and enjoy the party? There will be twelve hours of non-stop dancing, entertainment and fun. The Champs are are hosted at the Hammersmith Palais which boats a great dance floor, spectators gallery, food and drink. Doors open at midday and the competition kicks off at 1.00pm sharp. Events continue throughout the day, with plenty of freestyle for everyone at regular intervals. Then from 7.30pm until midnight it's party time, featuring the finals, the trophy and prize presentations.. ending with freestyle for all! The categories are:
